The Incredible Hulk : Tigers & Strawberry story by David in 'Married'

Tigers & Strawberry story by David in 'Married'

Just saw the episode after many, many years. Right before David proposes to an ailing Carolyn he tells her the story of a man who was chased by a tiger. At the cliff the man holds to a branch, looks down and sees another tiger waiting for him to fall. As the branch starts breaking from its root, the man notices a single strawberry next to the cliff, he grabs it with his free hand and eats it. And he says to himself: "What a wonderful strawberry".

I don't know about you guys but this final delivery, performed by Bill Bixby with teary eyes and broken voice (considering the situation at hand) just broke my heart to tears. Not only a great actor but a wonderful human being! You are sorely missed, Mr. Bixby. Thank you for being part of my childhood.

I could not agree more.even as a child when I watched the series every friday night, as cool as Ferrigno was I was always drawn to Bill Bixby. I know it may sound funny as being a 9 year old kid, but there was something about Bill.I loved his intensity and I believe you felt for his character.

Re: Tigers & Strawberry story by David in 'Married'

Married is still a timeless piece. Bill Bixby/Lou Ferrigno were a class act.

Re: Tigers + Strawberry story by David in 'Married'

Bixby is Banner. None of that Eric Bana, Edward Norton, or Mark Ruffalo *beep*

It was this story that made Caroline fall in love with David, and agree to marry him, despite the long odds against them
