Project Runway : Roberi is adorable.

Roberi is adorable.

He has this sweet-goofy, gay-nerd-boi quality that's just charming, and he seems like such a genuine person. I want to eat him right up.

Also, I think he will win.

I would like for either him or Laurence to win.

Re: Roberi is adorable.

I have a friend who I watch this with, she constantly says he reminds her of a creeper who keeps his child victims in his basement. Poor guy, seems nice.

Tell your friend that Dahmer and Bundy were good looking men.

Re: Roberi is adorable.

I love him as well. He really does seem very genuine

Re: Roberi is adorable.

I was so happy to see him stand up to Heidi's ever-present infatuation that everything needs to be 'sexed-up'. Now, I am not a prude, by any means, but I appreciate that he has an aesthetic that isn't about showing as much skin as possible and that he isn't willing to compromise that to please whatever ideas Heidi Klum has that anything 'fashionable' needs to be short and skin-baring. It seemed as though the other judges kind of backed him up, which I appreciated.

Re: Roberi is adorable.

Yaeh, having the models wear sneakers was great!

Re: Roberi is adorable.

I know that it would be the "Kiss of Death", and I'd be immediately booted off, but it would be worth it to tell Heidi Klum that "I DON'T DESIGN FOR 'HOOCHIE MAMAS'!!!"

I love Tim Gunn, and I respect him. I also remember what he has always referred to as "Clown Clothes"

Now, it seems like "Clown Clothes" are the norm, and have been going down hill steadily since the move to LifeTime.

I do hope he won't upset Henry

Re: Roberi is adorable.

Yes, I agree.

He is down to earth, a hard worker, and I enjoy most of his designs.
I hope he wins, as well. I like the way he dresses, too!
I did not like when he got called a "dressmaker and not designer".
So unfair.

Happy Holidays

I liked that too. I'm not a prude either, but an artist can make a cool collection without it being "sexed up". In fact, I find it way more interesting when a designer is able to accomplish that. I think Roberi can accomplish that because he has an unconventional approach. I agree that his collection needs work. I think the most useful comment made towards him was, "These models don't look happy." LOL

I feel bad for him because you can tell he really struggles with articulating his feelings in the English language.

Re: Roberi is adorable.

I agree about the language barrier, I know that feeling (lived in another non-English speaking country for a year).

I also like that he's not buckling under the "sex it up" direction. And though, again, I'm sure the language barrier added to the bluntness, I thought it was hilarious when his response to Tim Gunn's comment that "I don't think the same woman would wear these" Roberi was like "Yes it is the same woman. But going different places." LOL. Like stfu Tim haha, it's true, you don't wear the same thing everywhere. He reiterated this again later, that he wants it to be that the same woman can wear different things different places.

With that whole exchange in mind, I then thought it was interesting that out of all of them, they found his collection most cohesive. Tim maybe missed the mark a tad there (at least from what we saw after editing)

Re: Roberi is adorable.

Yeah that was pretty funny calling Tim out like that. How many times do designers lose on this show because they're collection is "too matchy matchy" (to quote another of the judges over used phrases.) Seriously, wouldn't it make MORE sense to have different pieces to show different view points of a designer's "asthetic" ? If fashion is an ever-changing industry, shouldn't a designer be able to change with it- instead of obtusely sticking to their opinions of what should be current?

Re: Roberi is adorable.

I love Roberi. I loved his collection and I thought his critique wasn't fair.

Re: Roberi is adorable.

He might be a nice guy but, he better not win. His deigns are really terrible. The ones with the weird pink fabric are interesting I guess but, nothing special and that third look he showed the judges that didn't have the pink fabric was just awful. It looked like regular clothes you can buy anywhere in the sale section. Out of the very below average looks from all of the finalists this season, Roberi's were by far the worst.

Re: Roberi is adorable.

I wanted him to win so bad!!

Re: Roberi is adorable.

I agree completely and was so sorry when he didn't win.

He seems like so much fun and I loved his little twirls leaving the room.
