Seinfeld : Was there ever a French Connection movie reference?

I recall an episode where Kramer or another cast member was persuing someone but got away in a subway with the persued person mocking the chaser with the hand wave like in French Connection. Did this ever happen in an episode or did I imagine this?

Doesn't ring a bell, but there was a French Connection reference in The Good Samaritan, when Jerry makes up the story about chasing the hit-and-run driver and Elaine compares him to Popeye Doyle.
